UBM's Live Media business has acquired Mondiale Publishing's Sleep and ARC Exhibitions, Conferences and The European Hotel Design Awards.
Sleep and ARC were both launched in 2005. Sleep, comprising a design-led exhibition, high-level conference and prestigious awards ceremony; has rapidly established itself as Europe's leading event for all those involved in the creation of new hotels. Now in its third year, the show is bigger than ever and has moved to a new venue; the Business Design Centre, Islington, to accommodate the increasing participation demand. The show provides the international hotel industry with the opportunity not only to select the very latest ranges from the industry's most innovative and aspirational suppliers, but also to meet and hear from the leading designers shaping hotel design. The Awards provide recognition and a celebration of the wealth of design talent from across the world complementing this hugely influential industry event.
The ARC Show is the UK's leading event for Architectural, Retail and Commercial lighting. London leads the world in lighting specification. UK architects, designers and lighting designers are creating stunning high profile projects across the world as emerging economies transform their cityscapes. With such an influential and powerful buying audience, Arc has also rapidly outgrown its venue and in 2009 will re-locate to Earls Court 2, Olympia, to accommodate further anticipated growth.
Sleep and ARC complement both Decorex and the Interiors series. Decorex is globally recognised, providing an exclusive trade event for the top end domestic and commercial interior design sector. Interiors Birmingham is the UK's pre-eminent event for the retail and soft contract interior design markets, with leading show brands such as Design Interiors, Lighting Show and Furniture Show. Held annually in January at the NEC, Interiors Birmingham covers over 100,000 square metres and attracts 34,000 visitors from 77 countries.
The Interiors Portfolio consists of Interiors Birmingham, Decorex, kbb, kbb London, the National Floor Show, and its recently launched flagship interiors event in Abu Dhabi, Interiors UAE.
